To copy from the scanner it works OK. Have tried everything, every way I can think of to get it to print something from the computer, but it does not. Am going out to purchase an HP today.

Original review: Jan. 10, 2018 If I could give 0 stars, I would, for my recent negative experience with Kodak. Contacted Kodak technical support on December 28, 2017 for an issue with my printer. Was told that a new print-head would fix the problem, so I purchased one. What they failed to mention was that this item had no warranty. Not only didn't it work, but there was no longer phone support the following week (beginning January 1, 2018) -- which I wasn't told.

I just replaced the black ink cartridge a month ago and have only printed maybe 5 pages. The printer is already telling me that the black ink cartridge is low and Kodak printers will not even print with low ink so it makes you go and buy a new one even when it is not out of ink already. This printer goes through cartridges way too fast. I think there must be a problem with them drying out. Should be a recall on this printer and or a class action lawsuit!

The wheels haven't completely fallen off for Kodak - a recent loan of $950 million has been granted for the company to restructure itself and adjust its priorities. This has resulted in a cull of its digital camera business and a renewed focus on printers. This is a risky move, so its new printer, the Kodak Office Hero 6.1, had better impress. This printer's headline features revolve around its connectivity and money-saving features. Google Cloud Printing is great for printing documents from a tablet PC or smartphone, enabling you to print documents even if you're away from home. The Kodak Email Print Server lets you send emails to the printer and should print any attachments.

P touch lite download. That gold band was a nice nod to Kodak's tradition, and it made their printers look friendlier and less cheap. The red just highlights some poor styling choices, such as dull-silver buttons, and detracts from the otherwise solid construction and flawless performance. The front panel of the Office Hero 6.1 sports a 2.4-inch color LCD and an array of logically placed controls, including a keypad for faxing. The ink cartridges (black and unified color) are easy to get to, and the machine has Secure Digital, MultiMedia Card, Memory Stick, and USB/Pictbridge ports for easy photo printing or offloading scans. You may connect the unit via USB, ethernet, or Wi-Fi.

The only thing missing is the documentation, which is available only online. Much as we enjoy the Home Center software, we encountered a few kinks during use this time. When testing the Office Hero 6.1 on the Mac platform using Microsoft Word, the system hung when we selected the 'Printer Options 2' menu in the print driver. Kodak is aware of this issue and will be releasing a fix later this month, with the 7.3 version of its Home Center Software. The Home Center scan driver includes Kodak's Perfect Page, an imaging technology designed to improve the quality of scanned documents with less user intervention. It is enabled by default in the driver.

Place a few drops of alcohol into the top of the printhead to further loosen the ink from the inside. This cleans the inside of the nozzles, as well, and may stave off future accumulation. Let the components dry thoroughly before testing it out.

In fact, it was suggested I call back after receiving the new part. Since the new print-head did not resolve the problem, I contacted tech support via 'chat'. Although my loss is minimal, I'm providing this review of my awful experiences with Kodak as a warning to others not to waste your money on a company that can't be bothered to make quality products or provide decent support. I received emails referencing manuals, troubleshooting information, questions on quality issues or error messages. I believe I was clear on the fact that when I sent my first document via wireless connection and then plugged in via USB it just showed squiggly lines and or blots of ink.

I replaced both inks a few months ago and went to use it to make a color copy and it said I needed to replace the color because it was low. Mind you, I haven't used it but 6 or 7 copies since changing the ink.

I have had other camera makes but I love my old Kodak Digital. It is compact, takes pics and videos and has several settings for various situations.
